Dr Jon Newton
Jon Newton is Emeritus Associate Professor of Biblical Studies and Pentecostalism, Alphacrucis University College, Melbourne, Australia and an ordained minister with the Australian Christian Churches. He holds a PhD from Deakin University in Victoria. He is the author of Revelation Reclaimed (Paternoster 2009), The Revelation Worldview (Wipf and Stock 2015), A Pentecostal Commentary on Revelation (Wipf and Stock 2021), Holy Spirit Breakout (Sophia Resources 2023), Holy Spirit Encounters (Sophia Resources 2025), and How Sovereign is God? (Resource Publications 2025). He also contributed to Wonders Above, Signs Below: Pentecostal Missiology and Environmental Degradation (Langham 2025) and has dozens of article in scholarly journals. He has served as a pastor, church planter, Christian school principal, missionary and lecturer. He has taught as a visiting lecturer in Bible colleges in UK, Denmark, Norway, Finland, India, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Myanmar. He has preached in dozens of churches across Europe and Asia as well as Australia.
Dr Judy Newton
Judy Newton has experience in counselling, inner healing prayer ministry and lecturing in these fields in Australia, Denmark, Norway and other nations. She holds a Doctor of Ministry (Alphacrucis University College) as well as two Master’s degrees in ministry and has served along with her husband in local church ministry and church planting for over thirty years. Originally a schoolteacher, she has served in various roles in a Christian school in Australia. She was awarded the Ross Winchester award for Pentecostal Studies with her Doctor of Ministry research entitled “What aspects of Australian Inner Healing Prayer ministries have Christian clients found most helpful to well-being?”
